Harmon Supply Inc., has grown exclusively through word of mouth since 2010. That’s  not too shabby considering Harmon Supply Inc, has expanded its warehouse size and doubled its employees all while supporting an impressive customer base. Tulsa, Okla., native Shay Harmon says, “It’s about providing a better customer experience.”

In this day and age when you never actually talk to a person, much less know what they look like, Harmon talks to all of his customers. He knows them all by name and always goes the extra mile to support them. It’s all about service.

Harmon isn’t only loyal to his customers, he’s loyal to his community. He supports John 3:16 Mission’s Children’s Ministry, City K.I.D.S. with his time. This is an outreach for nearby young residents of low income public housing.  The program provides dinner, arts and crafts, recreation, music and bible study.

Harmon is personable, humble and he doesn’t get ruffled. He has a great wit and an easy way about him. He loves to crack jokes and quote lines from his favorite films like the Blues Brothers. While he doesn’t take himself too seriously, he is driven when it comes to his business.

Harmon started out in the service industry by working at Ron’s Hamburgers & Chili in Stillwater, Okla., while he was an economics major at Oklahoma State University. You could say he knows the restaurant service industry from the ground up.

How do you go from a fry cook to an entrepreneur? Harmon saw a need and took a leap. He knew that not only could he do it, but he could do it better. His formula is working.
